Buer, also known as the Dendro Archon, Nahida, Lesser Lord Kusanali, the Physic of Purity, and the God of Wisdom, is a major playable character in the 2020 action role-playing fantasy video game Genshin Impact.
What Makes Her a Shojo Heroine?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: She helps the Traveler dismantle the tyrannical Sages' dream-harvesting Samsara and cleaned Rukkhadevata from Irminsul, saving it from being corrupted as well as preventing the formation of new Withering Zones, curing Eleazar as a whole.
- Kind/Gentle: She takes it upon herself to watch over the Sumeru region in peoples' dreams even while being detained by the Sages, going as far as to grant her powers to other individuals to show how much she loves her people, even those who live outside the forest, such as the village keepers of Aaru Village who she lent her powers to absorb the earthquakes caused by Forbidden Knowledge that caused it.
- Compassionate: Hides the truth behind the creation of the Diadem of Knowledge as well as Sachin's research that led to its creation knowing that he was ultimately right about human nature as a whole rather than destroying it. She also feels bad for Apep being corrupted, even though he despises her.
- Socially Awkward: Her years of confinement has left her with little in the way of social skills. She can often be very childish, such as when she infamously tells the Traveler to take a "dook-dook."
- Insecure: Prior to the Irminsular erasure of Rukkhadevata, her expectations to act like her predecessor Greater Lord Rukkhadevata and the Sages refusing to believe that she is the first Dendro Archon's reincarnation has left her with a notable amount of insecurities.
- Optimistic: Even having spent amidst half a millennium of being detained isn't enough to ruin her overall positive outlook on the world and life itself.
- Determined: Rushes beyond the boundaries of the dream world to find Dunyarzad's dream and uses all her strength to sustain the woman's mind that had already began to fade.
- Believes in the Power of Friendship/Love: She loves her people so much that she was willing to blow her cover to save the innocent people that had their consciousnesses hijacked by Il Dottore.
- Pacifistic: She is strongly against killing, even against dangerous individuals like Azar, whom she merely exiled to the forest for community service instead.
- Magical: Kind of a given, since she's an elemental deity and the Dendro Archon.
- Is a Cutie: She's positively cute as a button, having the physical appearance of a young girl despite being 500 years old.
