Lian-Chu is the main protagonist of the Dragon Hunters series. He is a sword-wielding, muscle-bound warrior who actually deals out the dragon slaying. In contrast to Gwizdo, he is more kindhearted and honorable. He is also an avid knitter.
What Makes Him A Shojo Hero?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: Saves all the world from the World Gobbler.
- Kind/Gentle: Is always nice to everyone, even to dragons. He only kills the dragons as self-defence.
- Compassionate: Feels empathy for Zoe and Gwizdo.
- Clumsy: Interesting version. He can look somewhat clumsy during fighting dragons at times, but he does defeat them.
- Socially Awkward: Lian-Chu in the full-length cartoon speaks extremely little; he confides his thoughts only to Gwizdo and, to a lesser extent, Zoe. In the series, he is more open to strangers, since he has matured and almost overcome his insecurity.
- Naive/Absent-Minded: He doesn't know what authority is.
- Optimistic: Is always a huge optimist.
- Believes in the Power of Friendship/Love: Is always friendly to everyone. Even if he is mad at Gwizdo at times, he apologizes.
- Possesses Plot Armor: Always defeats dangerous dragons, including even the World Gobbler.
- Insecure: He has low self-esteem in the full-length cartoon.
- Pacifistic: Never kills dragons without necessity.
