- Heroic/Honorable: Liu Bei maintains his dream of making everyone happy, and, when he eventually wins the Dream Battle, he wishes to cancel of the future Dream Battle so that there would be no more people to have their dream removed.
- Kind/Gentle: Liu Bei maintains his incorruptible kindness throughout the Dream Battle.
- Compassionate: Liu Bei is initially reluctant in participating in the Dream Battle because he sees that the loser of the Dream Battle will have their dream removed. While Liu Bei eventually becomes less reluctant, he maintains his compassionate attitude as he fights for everyone's happiness.
- Optimistic: While Liu Bei is emotional, Liu Bei is generally an encouraging person.
- Believes in the Power of Friendship: Throughout the Dream Battle, Liu Bei has noticeably helped and befriended people, which have supported him to eventually become the winner of the Dream Battle.
- Is a Crybaby: Liu Bei has notable moments of crying for his allies, such as Zhuge Liang.
- Pacifistic: Liu Bei is generally pacifistic, as he actively avoids lethal methods, and, despite it is required to have other participants defeated to win the Dream Battle and the losers will have their dream removed, Liu Bei has attempted to compensate for their non-villainous dream.
