Usami, also known by her full name, "Magical Girl Miracle ★ Usami, and later on renamed "Monomi" is a supporting protagonist in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair. She had her powers stolen by Monokuma using a virus, who then renamed and adopted her as a younger sister.
What Makes Her a Shojo Heroine?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: She's the one to single-handedly destroy AI Junko as the Neo World Program shuts down.
- Kind/Gentle: She's nothing but nice throughout the game and always tries to reach out to and help her students despite their distrust for her.
- Bubbly: While it diminishes slightly thanks to the abuse she takes from Monokuma, she's a cheerful teacher and takes any chance she can to talk about love.
- Compassionate: She's the only one who tries to reassure the self-loathing and nihilistic Nagito that he does have worth even if he doesn't see it.
- Naive: While strict when it comes to things such as enforcing her rules, she is rather easily tricked.
- Optimistic: Only natural given how she was created specifically to help rehabilitate the remnants of despair by allowing them to make happy memories together.
- Determined: No matter how much Monokuma makes her suffer or how much the students make it clear that they want nothing to do with her, she still never gives up trying to help Class 77-B get along even in the midst of the killing game.
- Youthful: She has a childish personality, speaking in a very kidlike manner and being frightened by the prospect of violence.
- Believes in the Power of Friendship: She's all about encouraging her students to make bonds with one another and tries to convince them to be kind and loving towards one another whenever she can.
- Wears Bright Colors: Prior to being turned into Monomi, she wore a white and pink skirt and pink bib.
- Pacifistic: She's terrified of violence and cruelty, referring to such behavior as "a big no-no".
- Magical: She was originally a magical girl assigned to look after the former remnants before Monokuma stripped her of her magic.
- Is a Cutie: Being a pink anthropomorphic rabbit plushie, it's almost a given that she'd be adorable.
