Mrs. Brisby or Brisby for short, is the main protagonist the critically acclaimed 1982 animated film The Secret of NIMH, and a supporting character in its 1998 direct-to-video animated sequel, The Secret of NIMH 2: Timmy to the Rescue.
She was voiced by the late Elizabeth Hartman in the first film, and Debi Mae West in The Secret of NIMH 2.

- Heroic/Honorable: Mrs. Brisby saves her son Timmy from pneumonia and saves all of her children and Auntie Shrew from sinking into the mud along with their home with the power of the amulet.
- Kind/Gentle: Mrs. Brisby is a mild-mannered person and never gets angry at Jeremy despite being mildly irritated with his clumsiness.
- Compassionate: Mrs. Brisby shows a great amount of empathy towards everyone around her.
- Socially Awkward: Mrs. Brisby has her moments of being bashful when interacting with others, specifically Nicodemus.
- Optimistic: Despite her struggles of raising her children on her own after her husband Jonathan was killed, Mrs. Brisby manages to stay cheerful and strong.
- Possesses Plot Armor: Mrs. Brisby manages to survive being chased by Dragon the cat thanks to Jeremy saving her.
- Insecure: Mrs. Brisby has her moments of lacking confidence in herself.
- Is a Crybaby: Whenever something goes wrong, Mrs. Brisby is quick to tears before someone cheers her up or tell her to be strong.
