Nana is the deuteragonist of the Ice Climber franchise. She is a cute chibi mountaineer who likes to scale mountains, explore, make friends and dwell in pure partnership. Reflecting her career, Nana is entertained in scaling several enormous and glacial mountaintops to recollect various vegetables stolen from a veggie-stealing condor. Outside of that, Nana typically likes playing with Popo, and has saved the universe from Tabuu's domination, and from Galeem and Dharkon's domination.
What Makes Her A Shojo Heroine?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: Nana has recollected multiple stolen vegetables for her village and have confronted the condor, who is responsible for it. Additionally, Nana has saved the world from domination, twice, from Tabuu's domination, and from Galeem and Dharkon's domination, which is even surprisingly admirable considering that she is a little girl.
- Kind/Gentle: Nana is affable and kind, even to the condor, her arch-nemesis, as despite being responsible for stealing her and Popo's vegetables, she does not harm the condor by any means and she actually befriends it, as the condor offers Nana and Popo to ride onto its talons through the skies and hoist her and Popo into Smash Bros. battles.
- Naive: Nana is extremely naive, as she does not show any signs of grudge against anyone or any of her enemies, even Meta Knight and Lucario, despite the latter two leaving them to fall towards the canyon in the Subspace Emissary, which heavily endangered their lives.
- Bubbly: Nana is very bubbly, demonstrated with her jumping for joy whenever she successfully conquered a mountain, but she is not necessarily hyperactive, which would cause Nana to easily mess her teamwork up with Popo.
- Clumsy: Nana is typically perplexed when it comes to attempting to return to Popo's side whenever she is separated, and she is very accident-prone, as Nana tends to fall out of Popo's lineup out of clumsiness. In the Super Smash Bros. series, this is especially prevalent when Nana comes across platforms. Furthermore, Nana is even unable to grab opponents nor even take action whenever Popo grabs or throws someone, instead just end up cheering for him, demonstrated in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
- Optimistic: Nana is typically shown to be a cheerful kid who is always happy to help other people if required. Even during the most dangerous moments, Nana still attempts to find a way out of it.
- Possesses Plot Armor: Nana has survived high falls thanks to her ice cleats offering her soft landings, demonstrated in the Subspace Emissary where she and Popo fall into the canyon.
- Innocent: Nana has never fallen into moral corruption once, making her very immune to moral corruption.
- Determined: Nana is determined to help other people or stop any evil force that endangers the world or her village at the very least.
- Youthful: Being a kid, Nana has a zest for living life to the fullest by going on exciting adventures, exploration and doing whatever she wants, as long as if it does not cause harm.
- Idealistic: Nana believes that the power of teamwork with Popo is powerful enough to take down any threats, which is no wonder Nana and Popo work as a fundamental and loyal team.
- Believes in the Power of Friendship: Nana believes in the power of friendship not only because of her having a blood bond with Popo, but also because during the clash between Meta Knight and Lucario, Nana and Popo were watching the entire scene in paranoia, and due to Nana and Popo's sentiments, Meta Knight and Lucario befriended each other at the end, which delights Nana and Popo.
- Pacifistic: Nana hates watching rivalry and other people fighting each other, demonstrated in the Subspace Emissary during the clash between Meta Knight and Lucario, Nana and Popo were watching the entire scene in fear. Because of Nana and Popo's presence, Meta Knight and Lucario befriend and team up with each other, to the relief of Nana and Popo.
- Magical: Nana demonstrates cryokinesis, the ability to manipulate ice and frost, and is able to summon a giant iceberg.
- Is A Cutie: Nana is incredibly cute, having cute facial features almost identical to Kirby, and having a simple yet appealing design.
