♪ Poppy Rangers have no fear, kind to every bird and deer! ♪
~ Lyrics of the Poppy Rangers' theme song.
Five, six, seven, eight! Mr. Bear, we think you're great! One, two! Three, four! You can do it! Beat their score! We're the Poppy Rangers, and we're here to say... We're so glad that bears can play!
~ The Poppy Rangers' cheerleading.
Sir, yes, sir!
~ The Poppy Rangers when following Ranger Tabes and Grizz's commands.

The Poppy Rangers, shortened to Poppies, are major characters of the We Bare Bears franchise, being supporting characters in the 2015 Cartoon Network original series of the same name, and its 2020 series finale film adaption, We Bare Bears: The Movie.

The Poppy Rangers are a group of amazonic and adventurous little girl scouts/troops and rangers, consisting of Diaz, Parker, Nguyen, Murphy and the leader, Wallace, who have a close friendship with Ranger Tabes and the three titular bears, more especially Grizzly Bear, whom the girls adore and affectionately refer him as, "Bear Guy," even despite Grizz's incompetence and his notable flaws within his heroism. Outside of their careers as park rangers like Ranger Tabes, the Poppy Rangers are typically seen casually playing with each other and having fun, more especially by throwing tissues at each other, having pillow fights and/or flying kites, demonstrated in Hurricane Hal. Additionally, the Poppy Rangers also participate in the annual Peewee Ranger Games led by Ranger Martinez, more especially to defeat their arch-rivals, the Ivy Rangers.

Wallace is voiced by Cate Gragnani, Parker is voiced by Danity Harris, Diaz is voiced by Marissa Soto, Ngyuen is voiced by Audrey Huynh (alongside Stella Cho from XO, Kitty, Kim Jun-hee in the English dub of Squid Game, and the Namashitas from The Boss Baby: Back in Business), and Murphy is voiced by Stella Balick-Karrer.

What Makes Them Shojo Heroes?[]

  • Heroic/Honorable: The Poppy Rangers work as a heroic team in We Bare Bears in several scenarios, such as the Poppies saving Wallace from Hurricane Hal and assisting Grizz, Panda and Ice Bear into defeating Agent Trout, their arch-nemesis, leading to the latter's deserved incarceration and getting his public reputation and image permanently and ultimately destroyed for unlawfully imprisoning and torturing the bears. Additionally, the Poppies have defeated their arch-rivals, the Ivy Rangers, in the annual Peewee Ranger Games, who were known for their disrespectful, juvenile, abusive and spoiled behavior and even xenophobic behavior towards Grizz.
  • Kind/Gentle: The Poppies are very kind and affable to whoever they meet and/or interact with, especially to Grizz, whom the Poppy Rangers affectionately call him, "Bear Guy," and Ranger Tabes, whom they often call her "sir," and always follow Tabes and Grizz's commands regardless of the severity of danger that awaits from them.
  • Bubbly: The Poppy Rangers are extremely bubbly, shown when the Poppies take legitimate enjoyment of Grizz getting attacked by bats while embarking through the Howling Mountain Cave, the Poppies investigate Grizz's supplies out of both enthusiasm and interest, the Poppies sprint out of the Ranger Station in excitement to fly their kites before the Hurricane Hal strikes, and after the Hurricane Hal strikes, the Poppies have fun in the Ranger Station by having a tissue/pillow fight with each other, but the Poppies aren't necessarily hyperactive.
  • Optimistic: The Poppies are relentlessly optimistic kids who are always happy to help and reassure other people if required. Even during the most dangerous and darkest moments, the Poppy Rangers still attempt to find a way out of it and offer other people hope, such as reassuring Ranger Tabes that she is still an excellent forest ranger despite getting the Poppies, Grizz and herself stranded in the Howling Mountain Cave and offering Grizz a positive influence by cheerleading for him in the Peewee Ranger Games in order to motivate himself from his lack of skill in kickball to defeat the Ivy Rangers and Ranger Zhao.
  • Determined: The Poppies are determined to help other people or save those from danger.
  • Youthful: Being kids, the Poppy Rangers have a zest for living life to the fullest by going on exciting adventures, exploration and doing whatever they want, as long as if it does not cause harm.
  • Idealistic: The Poppy Rangers believe that the power of teamwork is powerful enough to take down any threats, which is no wonder the group works as a fundamental and loyal team that sticks together no matter what. Additionally, they plan on how to motivate Grizz from his lack of kickball skill in the Peewee Ranger Games to defeat the Ivy Rangers, that is through cheerleading.
  • Believes in the Power of Friendship: The Poppies are best friends with not only each other, but are close friends with their superior commander, Ranger Tabes, and the three bears, more especially Grizzly. No matter how much trouble and danger Grizz and Tabes got themselves and the Poppies into, the Poppies still desire to continue bonding with them and motivate them, especially in the darkest and most unpleasant moments.
  • Has a Sweet Tooth: The Poppy Rangers like eating pizza, and once starvation took over them in Lord of the Poppies, the Poppies attempted to crave on eating Grizz as they hallucinate the latter as a delicious hamburger.
  • Short-Tempered: The Poppy Rangers are quick to anger, such as when Grizz's incompetence hits the Poppies' patience and when the Poppies argue with each other. In Lord of the Poppies, the Poppies have a heated and toxic quarrel with each other that outright escalates into a brutal Ranger War.
  • Are Cuties: The Poppy Rangers are extremely cute, among the cutest characters in the We Bare Bears franchise, being almost young and adorable as the Baby Bears.
