Princess Peach, or Princess Toadstool is the tritagonist of the Super Mario franchise. She rules the Mushroom Kingdom and tries to protect it at all costs and usually gets kidnapped by Bowser.
What Makes Her a Shojo Heroine?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: Has saved the Sparklas from a fate worse than death and helped Mario in his many adventures. And as for her honor, despite being as capable as Mario, she doesn't fight Bowser directly when she is kidnapped by him.
- Kind/Gentle: Is always kind towards everybody, and even tried to invite Mario and make a cake for him at the end of Mario 64.
- Bubbly: She's one of the only four characters to appear in all Mario Party games along with Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi (because they were all in Mario Party Advance) and has appeared in every Mario Kart, showing that she's pretty active.
- Compassionate: Cares for her Toads, Mario, and others.
- Absent-Minded: She gets kidnapped by Bowser often. Also, the cake at the beginning of NSMB Wii having the Koopalings' attributes must've at least reminded her about the danger that was about to occur.
- Has A Crush On Someone: Subverted in that she rejects both Mario and Bowser in Odyssey, but she did kiss Mario in SMB1 in the All-Stars remaster.
- Optimistic: Like Mario and Luigi, always has her chin up.
- Believes In The Power Of Friendship: Her care for Mario and Luigi, and of course, her Toads let her participate in journeys with them. And then there's Super Princess Peach, where she went out of her way to save Mario and Luigi.
- Has A Sweet Tooth: She has a thing for cakes, considering she seemingly baked one in SM64 and was given one on her birthday in NSMB Wii.
- Wears Bright Colors: Pink, light blue, and yellow hair.
- Long Hair: While she's a pretty tall character thanks to her long legs, her hair does go past her waist a bit.
- Is A Crybaby: In Super Princess Peach, the Gloom vibe power gives her the ability to cry.
- Pacifistic: Can fight at times, but generally chooses not to, even when she has the chance, specifically when she is kidnapped by Bowser.
- Has An Idol: Looks up to Mario.
- Magical: Especially in Super Princess Peach and Princess Peach: Showtime. Even then, in her first appearance, it's implied she can reverse Bowser's spell on the Toads in SMB1, which is probably why Mario and Luigi went on an adventure to save her from Bowser.
