Princess (later Queen) Anna of Arendelle (simply known as Anna) is one of the two main protagonists of the Frozen franchise (along with Elsa). She is the main protagonist of Disney's 53rd full-length animated feature film Frozen and the deuteragonist of its sequel Frozen II.
She is voiced by Kristen Bell as a young adult, and by Livvy Stubenrauch, Katie Lopez, and Agatha Lee Monn as a child.
What Makes Her a Shojo Heroine?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: Anna destroyed King Runeard's dam to bring the north and south of Northuldra together in harmony.
- Kind/Gentle: Anna is a kind-hearted person and is shown to treat everyone with genuine respect.
- Bubbly: Anna is shown to be very energetic and has an adventurous approach to situations.
- Compassionate: Anna shows great amounts of empathy towards everyone, especially her older sister Elsa.
- Clumsy: Anna can sometimes be awkward with how she moves around.
- Naive/Absent-Minded: Though she had grown wiser in the sequel, Anna had a rather childish view on romance to the point of being blind of Hans's true colors as the manipulative and selfish person he is.
- Has a Crush on Someone: Anna instantly falls for Hans until he reveals his true colors. Likewise, she didn't warm up to Kristoff right away, but she bonds with him and instantly falls in love with him.
- Optimistic: Though she can feel depressed at times, Anna manages to see the good in her life and inspire others to do the same.
- Believes in the Power of Friendship/Love: Anna's love for Elsa is what inspired her to embrace her ice powers as a part of herself and have full control over them.
- Possesses Plot Armor: Anna gets herself frozen to save Elsa from being killed by Hans. If Elsa didn't know how to control her powers, Anna would've stayed frozen.
- Pigtails: In the first film, Anna wore her hair in braided pigtails.
- Has a Sweet Tooth: Anna is very fascinated with eating chocolate.
- Wears Bright Colors: Anna primarily wears a pink and/or green dress.
