Sir Pentious is a major character of the adult animated series Hazbin Hotel.
What Makes Him a Shojo Hero?[]
- Heroic/Honorable: Sir Pentious sacrifices himself to save the Hotel from the Exorcists' invasion, which allowed him to reincarnate as an angel in Heaven.
- Kind/Gentle: Easily one of the kindest characters of the main cast, behind only Charlie herself.
- Clumsy: While Pentious wants to be treated as a serious villain, he's ultimately far too incompetent for that, and often ends up screwing his own plans in the process.
- Socially Awkward: Pentious is usually very socially awkward, this gets cranked up to eleven when he's interacting with Cherri Bomb, which leads to his most awkward moments overall (including once loudly announcing that he's going to have sex with everyone in the room in a moment of nervousness).
- Naive: He's typically very literal minded and doesn't pick up with slangs and social cues. The most shining example is in the pilot episode, in which Angel Dust ends up calling him "daddy" only for Pentious believe that Angel is his actual son.
- Has a Crush on Someone: Pentious has a huge crush on his rival-turned-friend Cherri Bomb.
- Believes in the Power of Friendship/Love: The first one to genuinely believe in Charlie's plan of redeeming sinner demons so they can eventually ascend to Heaven.
- Insecure: Pentious is very self-conscious about his reputation as a villain, and immediately begins to doubt himself for failing in his plans.
- Is a Crybaby: Beneath his wannabe villainous facade, he's actually quite the softie. Whenever there's an emotional moment, there's a good chance he'll be misty-eyed and weeping in the background.
